Veterinarian
Dr. Monica Gabourel is honored to be the founder of Stitch Veterinary Urgent Care and Surgery. She has been in the veterinary field in San Diego for 28 years and has been a veterinarian for 20 years.She has a passion for urgent care, emergency, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Gabourel opened this hospital to be able to make a positive impact for all San Diego pets and people, by truly being there when in need of medical care and surgery.
After graduating from Veterinary School at UC Davis in 2003, Dr. Gabourel worked as an emergency veterinarian for 7 years, where she developed her passion for surgery and emergency/trauma medicine. Then she went on to continue to work in various hospitals and animal shelters, and established a mobile soft tissue surgery service.
In her free time, she enjoys exercising, jogging, hot yoga, hiking, salsa dancing, coaching kids soccer, and traveling.
